Dr. Carolyn De Amicis

Welcome to Alliance Dental Truro! I’m Carolyn De Amicis, your partner in achieving healthy smiles and a vibrant oral well-being. I am passionate about many aspects of dentistry and bring a blend of experience, compassion, and commitment to comprehensive care to every patient’s journey.

My love for dentistry extends beyond the clinical realm- it’s the joy of making a difference in my patients’ lives, one smile at a time. I approach every patient interaction with genuine care and dedication to delivering personalized solutions. I love making connections with my patients and it brings me great joy to share dental experiences with all of my patient families.

Outside of the clinic, I cherish the joys and chaos of parenthood, and enjoy the time spent with my husband and four wonderful kids. Balancing the intricacies of operating a dental practice with the challenges of family life has taught, and continues to teach me, the importance of patience, organization, and effective communication – skills that seamlessly translate into my dental practice.

I take pride in being an active participant and advocate within our wonderful hometown. Whether through local dental health initiatives, volunteering opportunities or collaborating with fellow community members, I am dedicated to giving back and contributing to the collective well-being of this town.

Dr. Julia De Amicis

Born and raised in Milford, Nova Scotia, Dr. Julia De Amicis is proud to have followed in her big sister’s footsteps, joining Dr. Carolyn and the wonderful team at Alliance Dental Truro. Here, she strives to provide comprehensive, preventative care while building relationships with her patients.

Dr. Julia completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Biology at Saint Francis Xavier University and then continued on to Dalhousie’s esteemed dental school, graduating in the spring of 2017.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Julia enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She has five nephews and a niece that she loves to spoil! She also enjoys staying active outdoors, especially golfing and hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Dr. Vanessa Wilson

Dr. Vanessa Wilson was raised in the village of Argyle Head, just outside Yarmouth. At Alliance Dental Truro, she enjoys providing comprehensive, preventative dental care to people of all ages, and always takes the time to answer patients’ questions about dental procedures.

Dr. Wilson graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in 1999, and with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2003. Before joining Alliance Dental, Vanessa ran her own practice in Dartmouth, NS and was also a clinical dental instructor with Dalhousie University.

Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring the world with her son Will and her husband, Chris. Her latest passion is stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), and she enjoys travelling far and wide with her backpack on and guidebook in hand.

Dr. Corey Felix

Hailing from Cape Breton, Dr. Corey Felix joined the Alliance Dental Truro team as a traveling dental surgeon. Often called “the tooth whisperer”, his calm demeanour helps his patients through even the most difficult surgical procedures.

In addition to obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie in 2007, Dr. Felix also has a Masters degree in Pharmacology and can offer you several sedation options to keep you comfortable during your treatment.

Dr. Felix has a passion for dental implants and spends most of his ongoing training in this field so that he can stay on top of the most current and successful treatment options. He likes to “keep it real” and will take lots of time to explain procedures and answer all your questions.

When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids at Grand Lake, or joining his extended family in Cape Breton. He loves to cook for family gatherings and can often be found behind the BBQ grill at his son’s football games.

Dr. Allison Richard

Dr. Allison Richard grew up in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, and started working with Alliance Dental Truro in 2013, where she loves being part of the great dental team. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a special rapport with the children who she treats.

After completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New Brunswick, she traveled through South America and Australia. She then entered dentistry and graduated from Dalhousie University with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She has also completed conscious sedation training and is especially interested in treating children and adults with dental anxiety.

Today, as when she was growing up, she enjoys playing soccer, hockey, and many other outdoor activities.

Dr. Lauren Ross

A Tatamagouche native, Dr. Lauren Ross is energized to be living and practicing in the community of Truro. She is thrilled to be a part of the Alliance Dental Truro team, and excited to build strong relationships with her patients through comprehensive care and communication.

Before graduating from the Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Ross completed her undergraduate degree—majoring in biology—also at Dalhousie University, Lauren is both proud and grateful to have had the opportunity to study and pursue her dream career in Nova Scotia.

In her downtime, Lauren is exploring the new world of home ownership and keeps herself busy with DIY home renovation projects. When she isn’t working on her new home, Lauren can be found crafting, collecting vinyl records, and hanging out with friends.

Dr. Todd Myette

Dr. Todd Myette was born and raised in Truro, with his childhood home just a five-minute drive from Alliance Dental Truro. He attended St. Francis Xavier University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science, followed by Dalhousie Dental School, graduating in 2022.

Todd is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, from preventative care to restorative treatments, and he takes pride in helping his patients achieve their best oral health. He loves the hands-on nature of dentistry and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with his patients.

Outside of work, Todd enjoys traveling and going on adventures with his family. He and his wife are parents to their two-year-old son, Wilder, and they are excited to welcome another baby boy later this year. In his free time, Todd also enjoys cooking, shopping, and spending quality time with loved ones.

Dr. Stacey Doncaster

Dr. Stacey Doncaster grew up in Carrolls Corner, Nova Scotia and has enjoyed practicing dentistry in Truro for over 23 years. She is now looking forward to joining the Alliance Dental team.

Before entering dentistry, Dr. Doncaster completed a Bachelor of Science at St. Mary’s University. She then graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University in 1997.

Dr. Doncaster enjoys being a family dentist while maintaining a strong focus on the prosthetic side of implant dentistry. She wants to help her patients restore their missing teeth and create the smile they have always dreamed of.

In her free time, Stacey loves to read and spend quality time with her daughter who has now convinced her to be a Swifty!
